EXERCISE 1-5
How to Use a Smartboard
Co-authored by Christopher Taylor, PhD
A Smartboard is an electronic, interactive whiteboard used in tandem with a computer and projector. Smartboards are a great tool to keep your audience alert and interested in your presentation! They’re quickly replacing whiteboards in classrooms and corporate offices. You can draw, browse the Internet, and display information on them. Because they're connected to your computer, they have the capability of saving your work, notes, and presentations and sharing them with others. You can even access information online with the touch of a finger

DEFINITION OF ICT TOOLS
ICT covers any product that will store, retrieve, manipulate, transmit or receive information electronically in a digital form. For example, personal computers, digital television, email, robots. So ICT is concerned with the storage, retrieval, manipulation, transmission or receipt of digital data.
MICROMETER:
A micrometer (/maɪˈkrɒmɪtər/ my-KROM-i-tər), sometimes known as a micrometer screw gauge, is a device incorporating a calibrated screw widely used for accurate measurement of components[1] in mechanical engineering and machining as well as most mechanical trades, along with other metrological instruments such as dial, vernier, and digital calipers. Micrometers are usually, but not always, in the form of calipers (opposing ends joined by a frame). The spindle is a very accurately machined screw and the object to be measured is placed between the spindle and the anvil. The spindle is moved by turning the ratchet knob or thimble until the object to be measured is lightly touched by both the spindle and the anvil.
